LOA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Friday, Dec 14 2007

This morning I received the phone call from Aisha at Hope for Children with the news we’ve been waiting for - approval from the Chinese government regarding Gabe’s adoption. The LOA or Letter of Approval arrived at our agency’s office in Atlanta this morning. They will FedEx it to us and we’ll get it on Monday. We’ll sign it and get it back to them and they it will go back to Beijing.

What does all of this mean? Eric and I will travel to get Gabe in late January/early February (hopefully). We won’t know official dates until we get our TA (Travel Approval) from China, but our agency predicts we will travel before Chinese New Year which starts February 7, 2008.

Hold on Gabe - Daddy’s coming to get you!!!

Our little boy is growing!!! Friday, Dec 7 2007

Yesterday, I sent an e-mail to the USA/Canada coordinator for Caring for China to see if she could communicate with the CFC director at Gabe’s orphanange. We sent him a “care package” right after Thanksgiving and we wanted to know if he received it. Here is what we found out.

Please let Dang Hui’s parents know that we have received their parcel, it got to us on the 5th of December. It contained a letter, photo album, camera, tracksuit top and bottom, sleeping bodysuit, shape sorter toy, 3 pairs of socks and blanket. They have been given to Dang Hui. The tracksuit does not fit him as he is quite a bit bigger! Another child in his house will be able to use it though. I hope you can come for him soon!!!! He is such an active little boy, with a great appetite and cheeky little personality.”

It looks like he is eating well and will probably take after his big brother Jackson!
