Hi All,
One of my favorite things to do with Grace is play dress-up. I love doing her hair and she (thankfully) lets Mommy have her way. I am so happy God brought me a “girly-girl”. Here are some photos from our session Saturday night.

Hi All,
Our nephew Jake got to come home for a brief visit from the Army. He has been on active duty overseas. The original plan was to go to Zane and Kate’s basketball game on Friday night and see him there. The only problem was the snowstorm in northern Kansas canceled the game. Everything was rescheduled for Saturday afternoon.
Saturday morning dawned bright and beautiful, but sadly I (Dana) knew immediately that I had caught the flu bug from the kids. So, I didn’t get to see Jake that day. The good news was that Andy, Jackson, Grace and Gabe did get to see Jake. The family had a good visit. Below you can see some pictures. Oh and by the way, Andy came down with the flu on Sunday! As of today (Tuesday) everybody is flu free.

Hi All,
Almost exactly this time last year my Mom had a series of mini-strokes (TIAs). It was a very scary time, but she made a full recovery. Well, this Wednesday the same thing happened again. She was hospitalized for two days where they ran all sorts of tests. Like last year they said the cause was a spike in her blood pressure caused by an infection (the plain old flu).
Grace and I traveled to be with my Mom at home on her return from the hospital. Although she was (and still is) unsteady on her feet, she is doing much better. It was actually a weird situation. I went back home to take care of my Mom, but an added bonus was that I had a really good time. I got to spend two days with my Mom. She let me (and my sister) clean house for her. I cooked (and then froze) meals for the weeks to come. But, probably the funnest time spent was just getting to sit and talk with her. I talk with my Mom on the phone all the time, but it is so much nicer to do it in person. Another unexected surprise was a visit from my best friend Michelle (and her daughter Noel). Also I got to spend time with my niece and nephews (Tracie’s kids) – so that was also fun.
Grace and I arrived home at about 4:00 pm. I am sad to say that all is not well on the home front. Jackson has the flu, so I will get to stay home with him tomorrow. So, I guess I will earn my nursing badge this month.
Below, please find some picture I took.
